Synopsis: Augmented reality (AR) applications have gone from basic proof-of-concepts just a few years ago to being deployed in multiple use cases in many utilities. The advances in wearable technologies has only accelerated the process. This talk will focus on the state-of-the-art and will provide multiple examples of the impact of AR in utilities.

The Huntsville AEE Chapter is doing its part again this year to enhancing your learning experience in attaining the prestigious Certified Energy Manager (CEM®) title. We will sponsor a 5-day CEM Training Seminar on July 23-27, 2018 with certification exam on the last day.There will be four days of in-depth, comprehensive learning and problem-solving forums that will carry your through the examination of basic fundamentals of energy management and on to a systemic “working level” knowledge of specific principles and techniques needed to really get this job done. All work will be done in an open forum class where questions and answers are worked through integrating the knowledge base of the students and instructors. Breakfast and lunch provided by our sponsors will be served on site to maximize classroom and peer to peer contact and minimize your fuss with finding a place to eat.

We are now into the new Energy Huntsville (EH) Year. The Planning Committee and the Leadership Team, with the Board’s approval, have launched the new structure with month to month and quarter to quarter operational strategy. Please refer to the below organization structure; the committee chairs are:

- Special Projects & USSRC Programs – Ruchi Singhal/ Cedreck Davis
- Member/Sponsor – Roger Herdy
Additionally the Board Advisory Group members, chaired by Randy Buckner, are future Board of Directors candidates. This group will be invited to attend the Board of Directors quarterly meetings.
The Executive Advisory Council, approximately 20 members strong, will consist of representatives from current and future EH Sponsors and active member companies planning to become sponsors.
Operationally the EH Executive Director will hold a monthly Leadership Team meeting attended by our Administrator, Trisha Truitt, the EH Committee Chairs and other invited EH active leaders. The Executive Advisory Council will meet quarterly before the quarterly Board of Directors. The Council meeting will be called by the Executive Director who will brief the Group on the Leadership Team’s activity and any committee issues on which the Council can provide guidance.
During the quarterly Board of Directors meetings the Executive Director will brief the Board and the Board Advisers. The briefing will contain resulting guidance from the Advisory Council meeting.
